Why do my beardies get so dark sometimes. I thought it was mostly in the mornings after having thier lights off. But sometimes they get that way during the day. Temps seem right, they bask alot, i have a basking buld and uvb light in 20 long. (they are 6 and 8 weeks old) both almost 7" long. Any input would be great!

Well it could be they are being moody or they could be trying to get more heat absorbed by getting darker colored mine does it all the time.
They do it for any number of reasons, cold, stress, sick, mood, etc. Not really anything to worry about unless they stay that way.
