ross.geddes Jun 30, 2003 04:00 PM

both my leo eggs have hatched but 12hours apart. The first one to hatch seems fine but the second one is quite abit smallerand has a short tail its also got a very unusual pattern and there is a lump of gungy stuff next to its egg. do you think he'll be ok should i keep it seperate from its brother/sister.
oh and the egg calapsed half way though incubation and had a bit of mouldy fluff stuff so im guessing thats why hes a little freaky but still cute.

I would seperate them just so the smaller baby gets he least amount of stress possible. Is there anything wrong with the smallest ones bone structure???. Short tails should not be a problem, as long as the baby can eat and isnt blind, it should be allright.

My first hatchling was real small, but it is now doing great. So, I would not worry about that. As a matter of fact, she had reached was the same size a new hatchling a month later. I would take Wahbaree's advice and separate them and make sure you give the little one the proper size of food. Good Luck!

You can never have just one gecko. Actually it is almost impossible to have two
