A year or two ago I asked the Barkers if anybody had run the tyrosinase test on any ball pythons, and they said no. Unless things have changed since, we don't know whether any ball pythons are T-negative albino.

like an "H", but the correct spelling is with a with a "J", Mojave just like the famous Mojave Desert (See The Snake Keepers site for details on the naming). Not picking just making a needed correction to the list. Link to the Desert site:

Camlon Reptiles Nov 14, 2004 08:26 AM

because we produced one this year also and are calling it a Pastel Mojave not a Pastave, which would sound like Pas Tave (tave sounds like have with a t?).

The Pastel Mojave we produced will be in an upcoming issue (March 2005 I was told) of Reptiles Magazine for the 2004 IRBA/Reptiles Magazine Vivarium Contest winners. He won First Place for Ball Pythons and Second Place for Best in Show, and we called him a Pastel Mojave. So as you can see we have one morph with 2 names, so that ups the number of morphs right.

Just having a little fun!

>>so far. Feel free to correct or inquire if needed.

Angolan Balls are hybrids not morphs. Any a few like some of the pastels and the hypos are variations on the same morph. And 'Normal' is not considered a morph, its considered the norm.

Still a Morph...

RandyRemington Nov 13, 2004 09:08 PM

"Still a Morph..."

So is a snow corn snake but neither are ball pythons. A hybrid isn't even anything.

bachman Nov 14, 2004 03:44 PM

>Still a morph.

I a sense yeah, but not really.

Like MarkS said above, "Some of the ones listed are just variations of the same morphs", and would not be considered a different morph, just a different name, from a different breeder.

could you be more specific?

jyohe Nov 14, 2004 09:38 AM

not really.....don't remember who's table it was at....everyone had balls....corner table...

chicklet ball it said...resembled the bubblegum without pinks/reds....had that white "patches" on the sides.....

resembled them things Pete Kahl just brought in...

I figured chicklet was gum and it had no red so they couldn't call it bubblegum........

......no price either on it I don't think.......

apython4u Nov 14, 2004 03:48 PM

I think the chicklet was 40k and the bubblegum was 60k. I beleive it was Doug Beards table.

bachman Nov 14, 2004 04:37 PM

chicklet & Bubblegum are different? I thought I saw the Chicklet, and it looked like a calico/Bubblegum, but I may be way off base though.

Thanks,
-----
Chad Bachman

apython4u Nov 14, 2004 05:24 PM

I beleive the Chicklet is what they were originally calling calico. I'm pretty sure the chicklets and bubblegums hatched from the same clutch, they posted pictures a few months ago. Maybe co-dom, and the b-gum is the homozygous.

PARAGON

MARBLE PASTEL

YELLOW BELLY STRIPE

some of your names are duplicated.
for example: bumble gum/calico
banana/coral albino/whitesmoke
yellow belly/phantom
Pastel yellow belly/pastel phantom
Lesser phantom/lesser yellow belly

RandyRemington Nov 15, 2004 04:26 PM

I thought it was a different RDR ball that he thought might be a yellow belly. I don't remember the name but it's the one he bred the phantom to the first two years.

At first they thought phantom = Mojave but then they didn't and now it's looking more like they are at least related.
