Well I just got done burying Orion. I went to bury him near Phoebe (his orginial mate) and I ended up digging her up instead. She was decaying and it was a horrible sight.

So I went to another part of the yard and dug a big hole there and my mom went and got Phoebe and I buried them together. So now Phoebe and Orion are together forever and are probably playing with Magnus.

oh my, that first part of the story is pretty bad. i am sorry that happened but at least they are together now and just remember it is only a body. the important part is still really beautiful.

I think the shock of accidentally digging her up is what got to me. If that hadn't happened then I'd be fine but that's bothering me somehow.

I know that they are happy now they are together.

Great name, is there a story behind it? Or does he just look like a luca? I have this odd habit of just naming things what they look like to me. I once had a fish named "Diatribe"...

Not much of a story with this name except that I was staying away from an Ann Rice character name this time since Magnus was my fav and I already had a fish (for 12 yrs) named Armand.

I was looking at the pics of the breeder males on Audreys web site (one of them is his father)and names kept popping into my head. Being Italian I tend to go for ethnic names (my lobster was Franco and I have a fish named Joey). I kept thinking Tuscany when I was looking at the pics and Luca came to mind. "Luca the Lizard" LOL. Then I heard that Luca was also a small village in Tuscany -I knew that was the name I was looking for cause it just felt right to me.

Well... I guess that is a story.

If I had a pet lobster I'd probably eat it(lobster's sooooo good but it is expensive).

Nice name though. Also this Audrey gal, what's her website? I'd like to look at her reptiles.

lobsters are so cool. everytime i see them in a tank at a restaurant. i just want to steal them and take them home. i feel so bad because i know they are going to be eaten. but im a dork like that.

Me too, I always have this vision of an enourmous "room tank" full of lobsters I have rescued. Not practical, but an interesting thought.

I feel bad because I know they are going to get eaten, and I know it's gonna be by someone at my table.

There was this huge lobster the last time we went to Red Lobster's. This thing had to weigh about 10 pounds. NO JOKE.

I wanted to take it home and keep it but my parents were like, it's too expensive and we'd probably end up eating it while you were gone to school or something.

LOL. My Franco was actually some sort of a cray fish. He was blue and REALLY beautiful and used to react to me (come out when I came into the room but not for anyone else). He lived about 13 months and when he died I went for the frogs as the life span is much longer.
