Please help, Leopard gecko eye problem

shoorty0690 Nov 13, 2004 04:05 PM

My leopard gecko has had this problem for almost a month now. His eyes have been shut all this time. My local petstore told me to put him in a warm bath for a few hours. This helped because his eyes opened. However, his eyes have this layer of stuff on it...almost like sleepys when people wake up. Once i took him out of the bath, his eyes closed once again. i tried this twice, but the second time, the things in his eyes seemed a little better, but barely. Im not sure what to do and need someones help. Im trying vitamins to see if this is the problem, but i dont think thats the reason. If it helps at all, he is an albino and hes a little under a year old...
If you have an answer, please post it, or Email me at Shoorty0690@comcast.net or AIM me at WhnEvrythngFAILS . Thanks for reading this. I appreciate it very much.

It sounds like your leo has an eye infection. It will probably need antibiotics provided by a vet to clear up the problem. I would reccomend contacting a vet. Hope that helps and good luck.
