How long have you had him? He may still not be adjusted well to his new enviorment. You should really not bother him much for a week or two and just put your hand in during feedings and touch him and get him used to you before oyu start taking him out of the tank all the time. It is really stressfull for him right now if he's just moved into his new home. He needs to settle in for a bit before he gets handled very much.

Being active like that is a good sign though!!!

Yeah, he probably wont adjust to being held for a very long time. Males in my experience take longer to get used to being picked up than females, but the usually calm down over the first few months. I had a male that was the most adjetated thing from 2-4 months, but now at 7 months he's very calm when I handle him.

I'd say a little of both. He's not only curious, but testing you as well.

i try and hold mine at least 2 or 3 times a day...i just got him liek 3 days ago, but he lets me pick him up (doesnt run away) and doesnt try and get away when i pick him up at all, (cept when i soak him lol, he dont like that much)i mean is it a bad thing that im picking him up? he doesnt fuss at all and i actually let him run around the kitchen counter in the morning when im making his salad, he doesnt ever try and run away from me...does that mean he is just used to it( maybe jen held him alot when she had him before?) or maybe he is to scared? but if he was scared wouldnt he try and get away some? i mean he never tries to run i dont hold him tight usually open handed and let him crawl on my arm and stuff...idk any ideas?

I would say that he is very well socialized. My first two clutches of a hypo/snow cross I did were the same way. They were kept in aquariums in the livking room and my kids were always holding them and playing with them. They began to actually come to the front of the cage when they would see one of us coming. Of course there were a few that didn't really care for being handled but for the most part they really warmed up to us. I would guess with the way Jen presents herself that this is the case with her dragons as well. I've heard the same thing about Matt form Mystical Dragons babies too.

Later,
Robert
