cant think of the name

venom_2 Nov 13, 2004 08:28 PM

no, this is not just a game, i am thinking of a boa, possibly largly arboreal which contains similar colors as a christmas pattern eyelash viper. i want to say it is from the eastern hemisphere, although i am not certain. very sturdy body structure, not like other tree boas, like cooks or amazon. If anyone can help me out, i just cant remember the name right now, thanks alot.

Maybe an emerald tree boa?

Could it be Sanzinia (Madagascan Treeboa)?

I guess a young Chondropython or an Emerald Tree boa could show a mix of red and green?

I guess I don't know what you mean by "Christmas pattern" in arboreal vipers.

Chris,

It can't be a Chondro....all of the red/brown juveniles turn to yellow before turning to green, unlike the emerald tree Boas that do turn red to green.

Probably right of a Madagascan Boa.

Give me a little more credit than an emerald tree boa, c'mon now. You were right on the dot with the Madagascan Tree Boas, thanks alot. If you've never seen a christmas tree pattern eyelash viper, lavibora.com has a good picture of one. Absolutely beutiful. thanks again
