feeding rats

i have a 04 dumerils and it is eating mice right now and i would like to change to rats and i tried a rat pup todays and she would not take it so i feed her her mouse and she had seconds sence it was very small because me husband got 2 one for the ball python which will not eat right now because of shedding so she was able to eat 2 small mice. she will eat f/t mice. the rat she would not even let you know that it was in the cage but as soon as i put the mouse in there she grabed it

sorry for the newbie questions but i am a newbie and i just want to do what is best for my new babys

Try rubbing the mice on the rat pup to scent it,rub it all over real good.
Also if you can get some used bedding from a pet stores mice cage and scatter it inside a feeding tub before before putting the snake inside for feeding will get them primed pretty good,then drop in a scented rat pup and WATCH OUT !
