$24

There really isn't any difference in the hoods I have seen. In fact, the one hood I had bought from a petstore fell apart in about 2 months. The cheap one I bought at a hardware store hasn't given me any trouble.

awsome, i got the 6 dollar one at wal-mart, but i have a question, it comes with a plastic cover for the light...does that effect the out put of UVB? i was wondering bc i was thinking of mounting the light inside his cage and so the cover would be better so he doesnt touch the bulb and get himself stuck up in there....

Any plastic, glass will completely obstruct uvb output. Even the wire mesh screen tops for cages cut to about half of normal output. If you do mount it in the cage don't use the cover and mount it to where the beardie coudn't jump to it and possibly hurt itself by breaking the bulb or get shocked.
