or maybe bullfrog if it gets over 5 inches before morphing. It may just be a bullfrog, since their tadpoles spend the winter as tads before morphing in their second year (and it's Fall already.) But then again, so do green frog tads.

hey, thanks for the response...unfortunately, i came home from work last night & he had died. the only thing i could come up with was he was stressed too much when i changed the water earlier that day...? i dont really know. id taken him out the the big tank 2 days before & put him in a more accessible area so i could keep an eye on him for when he changed...kinda sad, now. i was looking forward to raising one on my own. anyway, thanks for the info.

Sorry about that. Maybe it was the stress, or maybe the unhealthy living conditions at the pet store that did him in.
