Best temp reading

jazzmachine Nov 14, 2004 11:54 AM

Hey all. I was just wondering what everybody thinks is the best piece of equipment for getting the most accurate temperature reading? I have tried a couple things, but they keep giving different numbers. So i'm wondering what you all use or reccomend. Thanks in advance.

I was faced with the same dilemma about a month ago. You need to get one of the little digital temp guns. They cost about $25 and you can order them online or get them at any good radio control hobby shop (they use them to measure engine temps). The one I got works great and will give you an accurate reading every time. You can even take a temp reading of your snake! You can look them up at www.tempgun.com if you want to order one online.

depends on your budget. all products will have a slight variation from each other.you could use a inferred sighted temp gun, or get one of those digital thermometers witha probe from bigapple herp, i have those and their great. use three in my boa cage and they all read the same when placed in the same temp. you could even use those cheap stick on ones, and move them around the cage.
