feed him the freshly shed ones, these ones are white and very soft. The best feeder worms for beardies this small are wax, butter, and silk worms.

Not as staple insect.
High in fat. Silkies are very good.
www.silkiestogo.com or California silkworms.
I agree. Staple insects should either be crix or silkies or raoches..... a mixture of the 3 would be ideal.

yeah, sorry i didn't mention that. Variety is the best and its always good to not feed just one kind of insect. But Waxies are very fattening, and are best as treats

that www.silkiestogo or whatever in a post above has them
Can of mini mealworms? Are they alive or freeze dried? If the latter I would wait till he is older before offering them to him. If alive, just feed him a couple a day. The mini mealworms are different than mealworms in several ways, they are a different species, more active and new to the market. Because they are new any harmful effects if any isn't really known. I would feed them in moderation along with regular crickets and salad. Variety of insects is always good and keeps your dragon from getting picky about his insects.
White or freshly molted meal worms have shed their skin (molted) and are softer skinned for awhile, making them easier to digest. You can't buy them separately, just have to sift through the worms you have till you see some.
