She looks like she still has some in her. Could the remainder be good? Is it normal to lay slugs first? Any help in greatly appreciated.

If it has been hours since she has layed and she still looks "full" then I would let her be over night and check with a vet in the morning if she has not dropped anymore. Don't let her go too long if you think she is still holding babies or slugs.
I do not work with Dums but with BCI I have noticed the slugs are mixed inbetween the regular litter if it is a healthy litter. I have never seen a group of all slugs and then good babies come out, but that is just my experience.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes

Well, it is hard to say as already mentioned, but in my own experience, if eggs, slugs, babies, etc. are laid in a scattered time pattern, the end result is generally not good. It is entirely possible though for her to retain slugs and/or babies whatever the case may be. If she is done dropping pills, she should definitely be in the mood to eat, and if she didn't eat, I would really think she was retaining. Of course just because she eats won't guarantee that she's NOT retaining. Keep a good eye on her as you may need to take her to a qualified vet and see if anything has been retained at which time, if anything is there it will probably need to be surgically removed. Ether way, hit your records and try to figure what went wrong in the first place.....pull the male too soon, too cool, too hot, etc. Definitely want to prevent it in the future if it's anything you can correct. Sorry she slugged out on you, wish you the best of luck next go around. Take care!
