Breeding more then once a year....

footlonglizard Jun 30, 2003 06:24 PM

I heard its best if you only breed your leos once a year because that is the reason that they retain sperm, they only need to breed once. If i have a leo that has been finished laying for a couple months now and is already back up to almost 90 grams, could i do it again, or wait for a period of time?

If she weights 90 grams (that is hefty!) I don't see any harm in trying to breed her again, if she's willing and the male is willing, and you give her plenty of calcium. Don't know if she'll start laying again though.
