Twiching

MrLizardTX Nov 14, 2004 09:26 PM

I believe Bunny is getting close to laying. She didn't eat last week. Now she's curled up tight and twiching like crazy. Any idea how long until she lays?

Is there a possibilty that she is coiled up tight around a small egg mass? Also, how many days has it been since her last shed?

I don't remember her last shed and no, she's not curled around anything. She has moved and respoted herself a few times.

It's hard to give a time frame for laying without knowing the last shed date, but if she is thermoregulating it should be quite soon. Let us know if she doesn't lay in the very near future.

WE HAVE EGGIES!!!!!!I just walked by the cages and she's laying them right now! Problem though, she's laying them on the side of the cage without bedding. I tried moving the moss around her, but she struck at me. Last time she layed eggs, she was in a trance and I was able to take the eggs as she layed them. I tried to incubate them last time and none survived so I'm letting her keep them this time. I'm so excited!!

Just keep the cage humidity at least 90% and the ambient/substrate temp. in the mid to upper 80's and you shouldn't have any problems.
