In general you will find the Columbians as a whole tend to be more aggressive then Arg. B&W, Reds and Blues. However that said if you want to work with a Columbian I have read where several people on this forum have been able to tame them down to the temperament of an Arg. B&W’s, Reds and Blues general seem to tame down on their own. Remember there are exceptions to every rule and each lizard will have his/hers own personality.
A reasonable price is what you are willing to pay.

it's my understanding that the black and white columbians and the golds are all columbians and they have similar dispositions. i purchased two black and white columbians as hatchlings. i handle them dailey. they are about 10 months old now and are very tame. they both came from the same batch at the pet shop but one i purchased about a month earlier than the other. the first purchase was very easy to tame. the second was more difficult. both are great now. i have handled the gold columbians but not owned them and they seemed pretty aggressive, especially the older ones; but i'll bet if u got them young enough they would gentle down like black and whites have have. i think they are both really beautiful lizards. i think the black and whites are prettier but then i'm prejudiced. i also have a baby red tegu that i recently purchased. i love his colors too. he is growing very fast. i got him quite young too. even thought the reds are supposed to be real tame, he needed a little work too. i have iguanas and ornate niles too. the tegus i think are the easiest to handle. though i'm very pleased with all my lizards.
