another escapee

abbya Nov 15, 2004 12:17 AM

i lost first baby corn a year ago after her 3rd escape, so when i bought my new girl valentine, i got a snake i figured was to big to get out of the room if she ever did escape.
well two weeks and she's already out. i guess i didn't have the top locked on right. she got out some time last night. my best guess is that she moved the vent cover on the heating duct and crawled into the air system, but maybe it was off before and she wasn't even near there. i've set 2 'traps' because thats all the mice i had, and im hopeing for the best but almost expecting the worst.
this has not been a good weekend at all.

What kind of "big" snake did you buy. And if you are using an aqarium I would seriously start investing in some clamps.

If the first snake escaped then why would you think a second couldnt?Size means nothing to a corn, rat, king, etc.Any gaps and there gone.As a matter of fact the bigger they are the more strength they have to move the top around.
