Why advertisers should have small files and no bells and whistles

scubagecko Nov 15, 2004 12:52 AM

As I try to find a Speckled Kingsnake to buy I have been trying to look on different websites to look at pictures. There are some sites that are impossible to look at because there are so many bells and whistles and large picture files that anyone with a dialup modem like me cannot actually see anything on their site. For instance, whoever Serpentboy is (I'm not picking on him, its just an example) has a site and maybe has animals for sale on the site but just the headings are huge picture files so it takes a few minutes per heading to download and I am like most people in that I am too impatient to wait an hour for the site to download so I just leave before I see anything (if there is anything there at all). So, that is why advertisers should have teeny tiny small files on their site, so they can actually show what they have before someone loses patience and leaves before they see anything.

It's almost 2K5 man time to lose the dial up.. I myself @ the moment have dial up.. Note just for the moment then it will be back to cable. You search for the right speckled for you but you dont want it mailed to you. What are your options..? I'd love to see you get that awesome patternless speck ur looking for..I think you posted in the wrong place though to come down on ppl's websites.. Best of luck to you in ur search for that speck.. Pe@ce.. Mike

Your title text image is over 170 kb! You could easily reduce that to 1/5th of that size without it looking different.
