My kingsnake is a pig .... and a bit funny...

mattcbiker Nov 15, 2004 02:29 AM

My E. kingsnake (Queeny) was chillen with me today and I let her crawl around the floor for a few minutes while I keep an eye on her. Well, all of a sudden I notice she hasn't moved for a while, so I take a look and notice she's eating my cat's food out of her dish. It was some Iams canned food and she was taking big mouthfulls of it and lovin' it, although she was a bit confused on how to swallow this weird stuff, though she managed. She's got an excellent feeding response on FT mice/rats, but was eating this stuff calmly. I watched her for a few moments then took her away. Probably not bad for her, but she does just fine on rodents!!

Anybody else have kings eat weird stuff like that?

Happy herpin - Matt

I once had a 6'3" w/c Brooks I was wearing (for want of a better term while cleaning up from lunch. I left him on the dinner table for a momment and when I came back he was devouring a (cold) hotdog.

How nice would that be to be able to pick up a 50Lb. bag of Iams snake food? They could also market Hatchling Chow. " For those important years". You'd also get a choice of little nuggets or big chunks. For the sake of Jetzen's feeding pics, big chunks would be a must. Just make sure when we read the contents of the bag, the first ingredient doesn't say
"GROUND CORN".
