This is my yearling that just finished it's color change...I'm very happy with the results. It has a full dorsal stripe and a nice saw tooth pattern...enjoy.

Got to love those blues. Beautiful chondro you have there, but to me it looks more like a sarong......at least the stripe and sawtooth pattern. What color is it's tail. Jayas tend to have blue tails where sarongs will have a black tail. Beautiful snake either way.

Hi Brandon....
It has a blue tail. It was advertised as a jayapura. It is, of course, one of those terrible farm-bred bushmaster babies that always die after a few months (I'm being facetious of course). I always figured jayas and sorongs both had light blue bodies with blue saw-tooth patterns...I could care less about locality with these guys anyway...I only have a few of them as I mostly breed other stuff and enjoy these guys for the eye candy they are.
Cheers,
Gabriel

HOw old was it when the color change happened if you dont mind?
Well, it sounds like you were right in the first place. Jayas tend to have a softer blue to the sawtooth pattern, where as the sarongs have darker, more prominent color of blue. Great snakes. How many more are on the way?
