Cricket Care

dannygirl8 Nov 15, 2004 04:20 PM

I'm a new mom to a 5 week old dragon. After purchasing crickets at the pet/feed stores at .08 each, I ordered some online for a much cheaper price(they haven't come in yet) I have been feeding the ones I have with a food/water combo (it looks like orange squares that have lots of vitamins/as well as water in it -they look like a firm jelly. I also throw in Collard greens or mustard greens for them to nibble on. I've notice that a lot of them have died. Right now they are kept indoors. The ones that I've ordered online will be kept outside (I live in the New Orleans area so it doesn't really ever get too cold for them). Any suggestions on maintaining them. Thanks

Feed those crickets a nice seafood gumbo. Make your beardie a cajun beardie. Just saying that makes me miss my mom's cajun cookin. Crickets can be a hard live food to keep around. Just make sure you feed your bearide the right size.
