Hatchling died

Aeromeggy Nov 15, 2004 04:53 PM

One of my hatchling White Lines died today. It had come out of the shell with some ehd still on it, and despite me misting and using shed-aid, it wouldn't come off. It was also smaller than the other, and possibly weaker. I'm not sure why it happened, but I'm sad

Next time you have a baby that is in that state of "I don't to shed cause I'm a stupid baby", manually take the shed off of the animal. To do that, you need to moisten the areas that it still has shed, either by just misting it or by rubbing them gently with a moist paper towel. After this is done, gently pull on the shed or rub at it to pull it off, if that doesn't work very well, you'll need to use a good pair of tweezers to assist. When you have babies that turn out weaker like that or are just having problems in general, make sure to separate them.

Hope this will help you in the future, let me know if I can help in any other way.
