So I haven't been getting many fertile eggs from my hets this year, At first I thoought, with the first infertile clutches, it was just because it was their first year breeding, but with subsequent infertile clutches, I figured I did not leave them with the male enough ( I watched them mate once then seperated, was breeding male daily), this is the colony that got sick (but seem to have found right antibiotic to cure them now, yay!!!) so I did not re-breed. But there is one gecko in the group that was producing fertile eggs, but only one of each of the three clutches was good. The third one is hatching now, and the interesting thing is, that three of the three are albinos! I know statistically there is a 50% chance of any one being an albino (mom is het, dad is albino), but still- seems lucky..to make up for the unlucky part of infertile eggs and sick geckos I guess.
