vit D3 question

if i was to supplimet my tortiiose diet with a powdered vit D3 then does it still need the UVB light? and does anyone else do this?

Being that its indoors yes I usee both. D3 can be overdosed so be very careful I GROWING kleinmanni gets it twice a week just sprinkled on her food.

use an amount equal to a matchhead, don't go overboard

Yes, your tort will still need UV to get healthy shell growth. I don't give vitamin D3 supplement to my leopard torts at all. I keep them outside during the summertime as much as possible to get natural sunlight. Heard too many bad things on how you can over supplementing D3.
