keeping chondros with rhacs?

donalds4 Nov 15, 2004 09:12 PM

has any one ever tried to keep crested geckos with their GTP?
i know it sounds like a bad idea, just wondering what you all thought. Where i used to work in south africa, we would sometimes keep similar habitat spp in same enclosure, green mamba and gaboons, black mamba and puf adders, chameleons and gaboons...etc. Thanks, don

Dont try this for the sake of the gtp, gpts are usually snappy at anything with a heartbeat kept with them, this can cause your gtp to snap at it when it moves not only hurting your gtps face from the strike but also killing the crested gecko if it does get it. Just my 2 cents.....

BTW, try condidering a different type of substrate for your gtp, i had an aru swallow one of those pieces of wood at night, not a nice sight, get Cypress Mulch , much better in my personal experience and still has the "natural look"
