My female bearded dragon laid her second clutch of eggs in one month, just a few hours ago. Her total amount of eggs now are 39, she is just over one year old. Has anyone ever experienced this, 39 eggs at 1 year old? How many more clutches could she lay? I'd love to hear your opinions. I still cant believe she has laid 39 eggs, and im her owner

You should have probably known this before you bred but here goes. Females can retain sperm and produce about a clutch a month for up to a year. That doesn't mean that they will it just means that they can. How many they actually produce is up to them. As far as breeding a 1 year old, I think it's a little young but that's your decision. 39 eggs for 2 clutches seems about right for her age. Make sure you supplement heavy on calcium and you're going to also want to give more bugs than usual, she needs all the extras you can give her.

Thanks for the info. very much. I honestly had no intention of breeding my 1 year old bearded dragon, it just happened. Her mate, who is the same age as her, was very agressive towards mating. I never saw them breed, i've only seen her lay her eggs. However if she is going to continue to lay eggs, I can very much assure you I will keep her as healthy as I can.

I also have a 1 year old. First clutch was 19. Second clutch 3 weeks later was 11. Should see a third clutch between this saterday and thanksgiving. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!
