Have a question about heating a whole room.

ThomasMcCallie Nov 15, 2004 10:10 PM

What is the best way to heat a whole room? I have seen most people using space heaters, but my question is isn't this a fire hazard? I know that you can hook it up to a thermostat to shut it off if it gets too hot. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

My opinion on this is....anytime you introduce heat you have a potential fire hazard. Use common sense and think safety. Install fire detectors and set up everything with thermostats. Andy

We use an oil filled electric radiator style heater to heat our room it works great it has a reostat on it we set it at 3 and leave it alone we have a metal paint can on top filled with water to create humidity these type of heaters cost between $40.00 and $80.00 good luck Scott
