These critters amaze me more and more everyday.
A friend of mine raises quail and doves. He have me some baby quail to give to my lizards. Free food? OK.
Well they looked to big for the savs so I gave them to my blackthroat. She spent some time chasing down the first one then went into ambush mode to get the next one. This is when she shocked me. She grabbed the bird and dragged it to the water tub. She went into the tub and went under water until the bird quit kicking, then she swallowed it. I am so used to seeing my lizards just grab and gulp, this drowning thing was neat to watch. What will they do next?
