Hi all,

I've had my uromastyx, scooter, for well over 5 years and I am now interested in rescuing/adopting a uromastyx or bearded dragon. Can anyone tell me a good way to go about finding these animals in my area who might need homes? We'd like to help!!

You can look at the Kingsnake Adoptions page to check for rescues in your area. For beardies, you can contact Veronica at Beautiful Dragons to see if she has any to place. She's in the Salem OR area.

And several miscellaneous community fish

if you have a reptile or exotic rescue near you ,you can check there. their is almost always at least one bearded dragon in those places. i have never seen a uro at a rescue though.

I on occasion go through petfinder.com, they have a section for reptiles and though most of them are iguanas, monitors, or tegus, I have found Uros through there. Where are you? I recently found 2 Uros at a rescue in WI, through the petfinder site. It is national though, so a good resource all around. Also great for dogs, cats, hamsters, horses....
