Any one heard of this new double homo????????

Brandon Osborne Nov 16, 2004 04:14 PM

A guy at the St. Louis Reptile Expo told me the other day he produced an ALBINO PIE BALD....lavender albino at that. He said he recieved a pied male from Brian Sharp and bred it to an albino female from Bob Clark. Got 7 eggs total but only 3 were fertile and out popped 2 normal double hets and a lavender albino pied. He didn't have pics of it, but his friends were backing him up on his word. He said he was offered $200k at Tinley Park. Anyone else heard of it or seen it? Really curious.

If he bred a piebald to any albino all he would get is double hets, they're all recessive.

did he maybe breed these double hets back to each other????

otherwise this makes no sence to me.

I heard something similar at Tinley, I can't remember who the breeder was though. I thought it was an albino (not sure lavender or not) produced from breeding a pied to albino. I didn't think there was actually a albino pied produced, could very well be wrong though. Either way neither of the adults were know to carry the gene for the other morph, so strange regardless.

Anyone have any update on the piebald from the het clown breeding that Matt Turner did years ago? Unexpected hets turn up all the time.

Ask Ralph Davis bout this. I talked to him at the Tinley show and he has had similar experiences with the albinos and hets.
