Here's my favorite little Normal -- Kahotep. I've had her as a pet for around three (3) years, and she's my inspiration for exploring the wonderful world of Ball Pythons. I'd sell every one of my other animals (past, present, or future) before I'd ever consider selling her. I love her. And she loves me, too. =)

Leave it to a girl to give a snake a name like that. Since the new albino isn't here yet. Twinkie is currently our prized snake. We hope to prove him out next year as he is possible het for Albino. Rumor has it the first Pastel Albino has already been produced. I eagerly await seeing the photos of the first.

THE BOMB!!!!!!!!

I hear you George about the wanting......got my first glimpse of a Pied 5 years ago and have been jealously wanting one ever since. Finally got a het pied male this year..(and he's doing GREAT!)......so I'm having to go the long route about getting one, but DAMN that will be the day. EVERYONE will know when I produce my first pied......and I won't even have to type one word!.......you'll hear the CELEBRATING!

GORGEOUS PIED George!.......but then again, aren't they all

glkherp Nov 17, 2004 03:39 PM

Good luck with your male, nothing wrong with taking to long way around. It will be fun to see what pops out when breeding the possible het females back to daddy. I'm doing the same with a het clown male.

Thanks again,
George

Hi
You have a beautiful Piebald
I am getting some 100% Het for these guy's. They are great and I always wanted to get some.
Anyone else with Piebald pic's?

DragonDavy

snakebstr Nov 17, 2004 09:35 AM

here is my pied along with a few of his friends. Thanks

dragondavy Nov 17, 2004 09:59 AM

If you breed a pair of 100% Het would you get some Piebald?
How long do you wait to breed or how long do they have to breed if they are 04 baby pair?

Thanks
They are beautiful

DragonDavy

glkherp Nov 17, 2004 03:27 PM

If you breed a pair of 100% het you will on average get 25% Pieds, 50% hets, and 25% normals. Since you can't tell the hets from normals all the normal looking babies are considered 66% possible het.

If you get a 2004 pair the male should be able to breed the 2005/2006 season. The females will take longer, depending on how well she eats you should be able to have her ready for the 2006/2007 season.

anacondas...I never had to worry about this girl eating me since i am not a snake or a chicken. (but things are changing so I keep my distance) : )
Eunectes4 does not have a picture of his first ball python (Claudia) on here so Tara the sugar glider is voicing her opinion. I hope it is welcome : )

Do you live near a nuclear reactor? You've got a WEIRD looking squirrel there!

I will be interested in getting one of them. I want the mojave's but the price jumped like 20,000 when morph king produce a lucy from platinum X Mojave. Kool snake anyway. They are next on my list.

reptile_king Nov 16, 2004 11:26 PM

I have to say that I am very new to keeping Ball Pythons. I am truely hooked on them now and my plan is to build a nice colony for breeding purposes. With all of the new morphs out there now, ball python breeding will be going strong for many years to come. I purchased this Mark Bell line female pastel a few months ago and she is getting nicer looking by the day.

you're right he is very black, and that's very cool! I will have to look at who his mom is to see what she looks like. He looks great and also all the Lepoard images you sent are awesome. Good luck with everything, and we'll talk soon.

Hello,

Great thread with some beautiful animals!! I find it is SO hard to pick a favorite in anything we work with. I guess if I had to "narrow it down" with the Balls I would say... Clown, Pinstripe and Super Pastel!

If you REALLY twisted my arm... I'd probably have to go with the Clown! Wait... maybe not...

Anyways, here are some photos...

Clown

Pinstripe & Super Pastel

Thanks for looking,

That is really a fantastic looking clown, it's so clean looking. The other two are top notch as well but that clown is great.

Atistaldi Nov 18, 2004 04:32 AM

Geez Sean that snake looks better and better in every photo. The super and pinny are fabulous too. Now you just need to go to the Houston Show this weekend so I can see you two.

Just wait till the Caramel (Albino) Clown comes around. That's going to be the snake to die for.

But Miss Cleo, my normal BP is my favorite ball of them all. She's been copulating with my pastel and I hope to have babies from her this season.

I love them all but this is my favorite one.

Would have to be this nice female pastel.

dangerously Nov 17, 2004 10:03 PM

Monetary value aside, our favorite snake is one of our big (3200 g) normal females. She's got the best personality of the bunch, is probably the most docile snake we've ever owned, and is content to just hang around your shoulders for as long as you'll leave her there.

We have a lot of more valuable snakes dollar-wise, but she's our favorite. Just goes to show you that if all you want is a pet, you don't need to drop a lot of cash. You just need to hit the personality jackpot.
