Increasing appetite

monocledcobra Nov 16, 2004 09:42 PM

Hi,

I have a 5 month old male beardie. I got him on Saturday. He's eaten maybe a total of 20 crix since then. None of his greens. He drinks fine, and has pooped twice. He will take like 4 or 5 crix and lose interest or run up his log. Is there anyway to get his appetite up? He's a little small for his age, so I want him to start catching up. I have the vitamin/calcium supplement and all his crix have been dusted.

thanks

He's probably still adjusting to his new environment. You'll want to get a vet check and a fecal to rule out parasites though.

I got a couple of beardies a month or so ago. At first they didn't have much of an appetite, but after a week they were little pigs. If his appetite continues I might be worried.
