Well it finally happened to me, a snake got out, no not one of my corn snakes that is big enought that i would have a chance of finding it but my red belly snake that is not even 9" long, i've torn up my whole room and found no sign of him/her. now i'm depressed because it is cold out and there is no food for it in my house and it will most likely die and not be found does anyone have any secret weapons/tricks for catching a snake that's not even 4mm wide? (in a 17 year old's bedroom)
I'm fireing blanks.

Well let loose a kingsnake and it will find it for you.
Just kidding...
It's hard to find small snakes that get loose, I had a baby northern ringneck, less than 6 inches long, get loose on two occasions but I found it both times. You have a better chance of finding it after it had just escaped, as the snake will hide under something close to where it got out, but then the next day it will start moving more often. There is a low chance that you'll find it, but check under everything in your room and you may have a chance.

Believe me i checked under EVERYTHING in my room. this sucks, i was looking foreward to keeping the lil one and reaising it to adulthood and keeping it like my corns (for life)

i found the little guy yesterday after coming home from a reptile show, the little snake had left my room crossed the hall down the stairs and i found him on the bottom step! dosen't look any worse for wear and ate when i recaptured him, so i'm happy.
