Adult colors

I am getting a panther cham and was wondering:how long before the colors start to show in babies? Thanks, i just dont want to be stuck with a drab but all together exciting chameleon.

Panthers can start to show color as early as 3-5 months of age. However, this is still not an accurate indicator of what they will look like as adults. Panthers will continue to color up for several more months, and can look dramatically different as full grown adults. Even w/in a clutch, you'll find that some siblings look better than others.

If you do not want to take chances with ending up w/ a dull colored chameleon, your best bet is to purchase a sub-adult or an adult that suits your taste. If you do decide to go with a baby, be sure to check out the parents of the hatchling.
