True ovulation does not last very long probably no more than a day " depending " to move the ova into the oviduct for fertilization. Remember, there is pre-ovulation; " wich is the development of follicles in the ovaries " this can make the female swell and appear to be ovulateing, but she is not. The males will usually continue to breed heavily during pre ovulation swell and will almost always stop breeding altogether once the female has true ovulation and most of the time, the regection of the males is what tells you that in essence; " IT IS DONE. " ........GOD BLESS....Johnson Herp

Thanks. The reason i ask is because my boas went at it every day for like 10 weeks straight. 5 days ago he just stopped courting and breeding. then yesterday she appeared to be ovulating. now today she seems to be back to normal. and the male is just not interested any more. should they be seperated or should i wait for a pos first

Sounds like the; " deal is done " but no, it will not hurt to leave him in until you see her go into a shed and know for sure......Johnson Herp
