My Horned Frogs

amazinglyricist Jun 30, 2003 08:57 PM

Here's my male, he's about 3 or 3 1/2" long. Very tame, I've had him for 2 1/2 years.

Here's my female, she's about 4 1/2" long, and I've had her for 2 years. She is a very aggressive eater.

amazinglyricist Jun 30, 2003 09:01 PM

Here's my albino it's about an 1 1/2" long and is a little deformed, one of his front legs is longer than the other so his balance is a bit off. It's a very aggressive frog as well, and I've had it for 2 months.

amazinglyricist Jun 30, 2003 09:03 PM

And here is my newest addition to my Horned Frog family, I just got it today. It's about an 1 1/2" long.

kungfu28181 Jun 30, 2003 09:10 PM

Do you keep them all in ten gallon tanks with heaters?

amazinglyricist Jun 30, 2003 09:44 PM

I keep each one in it's own 10 gasllon aquarium, but I do not use heaters I use heat lamps through the day when it's colder, but it's about 85 degrees in my room so they aren't needed right now.

kungfu28181 Jun 30, 2003 09:54 PM

I have an albino pac man almost 3 inches long. Is it big enough to breed?

amazinglyricist Jun 30, 2003 09:58 PM

I really don't know, it all depends on the frog. How old it is, sex, and size.

kungfu28181 Jun 30, 2003 10:01 PM

It is a female. Not sure how old it is.

Knot Jun 30, 2003 09:14 PM

Hmm...those are pac-man frogs. Frogs are exactly like people...you know. They make a couple of meals...and then you eat them!

kungfu28181 Jun 30, 2003 09:19 PM

What in the heck are you talking about?

rc_racer_007 Jun 30, 2003 09:27 PM

nice frogs, but knot...

Go to the photo gallery on kingsnake.com and log in. Then go to upload pics. Once you upload a picture, right click on it and go to properties. Copy the address you see and post in in the blank below. Hope this helps. Andy

Which blank part? In the text body or one right after the other in the "image URL" space? That will put them all together in one post?

Cool, I did not know that. Thank you!!!

He has a deep red-orange that is starting to go all over his body.

puffytoad Jul 01, 2003 04:05 PM

i want to show off my pacman too. here he is

amazinglyricist Jul 01, 2003 07:00 PM

You're insane to let an African Bullfrog of that size any where near a Horned Frog that size, if that Horned Frog jumped of the Bullfrogs head he woudl be a light snack, not to mention the potentila for transmitting ciseases between them.

rc_racer_007 Jul 01, 2003 07:18 PM

from its coloration it looks like a demon!

kungfu28181 Jul 01, 2003 07:51 PM

Thats awesome! And yes, you are insane to put those things so close to each other.

snakeguy88 Jul 01, 2003 08:49 PM

ginevive Jul 01, 2003 06:28 AM

This is Azure, lover of nightcrawlers and crickets. He even has purple-ish spots (the dark ones on his back.) Anyone ever see this before?

*~Ginevive~*

amazinglyricist Jul 01, 2003 10:42 AM

Yeah, I've seen it before, it's just snother color that they can get. I had one with a tiny bit of purple but the purple dissapeared after a while. I've been waiting to see if any breeders are gonna breed a purple phase Horned Frog, it would look pretty odd. lol
