OK, Maybe I'm a bit blind but could anyone direct me to where I can find this bad boy? The one written by the two germans. I'm tired of doing all this research from scratch.
Cheers,
boy

i got a copy on ebay for wholesale price, which ended up being like $26. other normal sources sell for about $40 to $45. amazon.com usually has it in stock, its translated from german. some typos and grammatical errors, but informative nonetheless. unfortunately, it barely mentions uroplatus pietschmanni as it was underscribed at the time.
Some of the information in the book has outdated and is no longer practiced however... At least not by the majority... There is supposed to be a new reference book coming in the future...

yea...the book has a section about possible subspecies, but it seems like its just different patterns and such of the species we know today. i remember someone asking about a "diego henkeli" pic here in the photo gallery...finally found out where that name came from, THE UROPLATUS BOOK! i guess there must only be one picture of u. malama in the world though, because the book only has one picture and its the same that you can find on the net. still i like the book!
It is true, there are informations we know now, they didnt know when they wrote the book.
But still, there are a lot of information in it, that are useful, for an example, there are temparture maps and humidity maps of Madagascar, quite useful.
Anyone with the book would you mind posting photocopies of the temperature or humidity maps from the book? That would be awesome, thanks.
Mike
not sure its legal to post those on here....im sure its some sort of copyright infringement.
Yes, very illegal... you can find this information on the internet with a little patience...
