I thought he forgot about me, but I opened my mailbox today to find a copy of his collared lizard book! I've been torturing myself by not opening it yet but I can hardly wait--too bad I can't read German!

Robert's book is amazing! Best series of Crotaphytus pics I have seen in one publication. Sure wish we could find someone to translate the text for us!!

To approximate a translation using online means--it will be a painstakingly slow and not-quite-accurate process, which will have to wait until all my other "projects" are finished.

I also received a copy, and was amazed by the super photography, collared pics were just superb, I must commend our own Will Wells for some of his photos also. Anyway I told Robert I was saddened by the fact I could not read it, it looks as if there is alot of good info in there. Anyway it is a wonderful book in which I will always Treasure, Robert is a very kind and wonderful new friend of mine in which I can share my lizard interests ! Thank you again, from me also Buddy ! That is the best book I've seen on Crotaphytus. I feel honored by Robert for using some of my pictures. Last I heard from him, he has someone translating it for him. Sure wish I could send him some lizards.

Ha Ha Ha, I can read some German and I must say that it IS a great book. I haven't read it all, but used it alot when I had my first gravid female, first eggs and first hatchlings - even though I have also got a lot of support on this forum.
