Tonight my uro (btw his name is yoshi) let my wife hold him for a couple minutes. Thanks to you guys I knew what he wanted when he started glass dancing. This is a good thing and a much needed improvement.

yay! see he is not mean, just scared. also one thing i have noticed is if you are scared/nervous then lizards know. like this summer if one of my lizards got away from us at my parents' house, and everyone else was freaking out the lizards would go crazy and run even more. once i taught everyone to remain calm, i could catch them much easier.
also stick your hand in slower and let him tongue flick you a couple times. sometimes helga will whip her tail at me and kind of freak out and then once i hold my ground and she flicks my hand and realizes its me, she will calm down

You call it flicking I call it lizard kiss. I see what you mean, my brothers mali Apollo likes to freak out on occassion, so when I put my hand in there he'll run to it and then he'll "flick" it with his tongue and he'll be fine after that.

Good tips helped this guy get his uro to calm down. Good work everyone!

That is wonderful! Way to hang in there! They DO make awfully wonderful pets once they get settled.
