A herpetologist in the cages group suggested using cypress mulch for a plated lizard habitat; I'm wondering if this might not work for our Uro mali as well.

It might be better than the play sand we've used for years -- lighter weight, if nothign else. And I would like to find a common substrate for Clyde (the plated) and Wizard (the Uro), just to reduce the number of bags we buy at Home Depot.
