Pig blankets for boas

bigdee Nov 18, 2004 12:02 PM

Where can i find pig blankets? I did search and all I find is bush herp which seems to be out of business. I have a plastic 4' cage on the way from cheapcages.com and the boas will be in the basement where day temps dont get above 70 and I hear pigblankets are pretty good

whooo I checked the kanes and those thing cost more the RHP. I was to spend that much cash I would just get the panel. I hear alot about the heat panels and really not much about kane heat mats so I dont understand why they cost so much

Kane heat mats are all I use for my wood cages. My 3 cage system has three 18" X 18" Kane mats that have been on for over 6 years 24 / 7 and they still work just as good as a new one. In my opinion a Kane heat mat will out last any heat mat out there. This is why I only sell Kane heat mat on my website.

Take care
Tom

If your planning to use a pig blanket in a room that cold, then 2/3rds of your snake is still going to be subject to poor conditions. Also, if you remove your snakes to clean the cage, You'll need to put them in something above 70 degrees while doing so. You gotta get the room warmer, and spend the extra on Pro Product Heat Panels, it'll be worth it. Please look into having thermometers, and thermostats also.

i keep all my snakes in the basement. its around 70 all year round. makes it hard to heat sometimes but the temp never changes, so thats nice. i have a kane and all i can say is wow!their great! big apple herp sells them, and has a 125% price match garentee. countrysidevet.com has them for real cheap. use them as you price match source. it saved me 35 dollars!
