Is this a stupid question??

siriusblack5 Nov 18, 2004 02:12 PM

Help - I have my redfoot tortoise in an outdoor enclosure, and I'm having an ant problem. Not fire ants, but those funny crazy little tiny ants. Any suggestions?? There are also those big carpenter? ants - they don't seem to bother my tortoise.

NOt a stupid question at all. I am however not qualified to answer your question. I do remember a discussion about ants a while back. I believe that the ants were actually causing a whole mess of problems. Someone suggested building a moat around the enclosure. If you arent having problems then that might be unnecessary but I would watch out as ants can be nasty little insects!
