heating?

jaysnakes Jun 30, 2003 10:22 PM

I just ordered my RETF tank and its demensions are, 20-10-25. I was wondering what would be the best means of heating such a tall tank. I would love to hear all of your ideas. Thanks a bunch. Jay

You should be able to use infra-red light bulbs, heating pads or both to heat your red-eyed tree frog terrarium. If you have a background like cork bark or tree fern root heat pads can be attached to the back of the tank or on the sides. Light bulbs often dry out terrariums so pay attention to that if you choose to use one. As long as the temperatures are fine and the terrarium is heated in a way thats safe for the frogs it doesn't matter too much what you use to heat it. Idealy you will have a thermogradient in the terrarium that ranges from the mid/high 70's the low 80's. Good luck!
