what size cage would be appropriate for a JCP or IJCP. what types of cages and where should i get them. info and pics would be appreciated.

i have my jcp housed in an 80 gallon tank. i'd have to measure it but it's like 4 foot long by 18 inches deep and 2 foot high. i have a screen lid with clamps to secure it. so far no escape from her. also on the screen lid i have most of it covered with siran wrap and tinfoil to help keep heat/humidity in. she has 2 big branches that stretch the length of the cage from one corner to opposite corner at an angle. then a picture background. you can kind of see some of it in my photo in your first post.

Depends on the individual snake. Most male jungles and irians can be kept in a cage that measures 36" long x 18" high x 18" wide. The females typically get larger and some even need a 48" long cage. It depends on the size of the individual and the activity level. If you're willing to spend a little $$$ I would check out www.boaphile.com and www.wantapet.com for cages.

would not a 3ft tall x 18 x24 do with branches ,

Not really, although carpets are semi-arboreal they need a lot of floor space. Mine hardly ever use the branches anyway. They need more floor space than climbing room.

so 3ft long x be better then,

....I would say that a cage at least 36" long would be better than 36" high. At night my jungles seem to enjoy coming down from their perches and searching the floor of the cage. The only time they climb is to bask during the day.

I really like the boaphiles...Only thing I dont like is the customer service. Like Matt said 36 for males and small females and 48" for the big girls...
