Cincinnati reptile rescue in trouble

toad112081 Nov 18, 2004 04:51 PM

I know this is off the subject but I posted the same thing under the monitors forum. I am a volunteer at Arrowhead Reptile Rescue in Cincinnati, Ohio and we are under serious attack from neighbors who are making unvalid accusations. You can check the whole story out on our website www.arrowheadreptilerescue.org. Now this is not some guy taking unwanted reptiles and reselling them. We do local educational shows for school, churches, and other organizations. Also, we work with the Cincinnati Zoo, the Newport Aquarium(Kentucky), and other groups. Thanks for reading and showing your support no matter where you are in the world. This kind of ignorance can have a bad effect on all reptile lovers. Thanks again, Zack

This is exactly why I like tegus better than humans =/

I would support starting a fund to hire some really big mother [bleep]ers to have a 'talk' with some of your key opponents if anyone else is interested.

Well I read your story and that really sucks! If "Ignorance is bliss" then that township must be the most blissful place on earth. It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant people can be. Of course the media always does a fine job of working everybody into a frenzy as well, jerks! Well, keep your head up and fight the good fight. That is all you can do. Best of luck to you and your most worthy organization.

On a side note; you could always stop gathering the unwanted animals from peoples yards until they begged you to come back? Yeah, I know, you would never do that, you are too kind hearted. But the thought of getting a phone call from one of the ignoramuses begging you to take a big lizard or snake from their backyard or porch give one a chuckle don't it?
