Blandings pics.

I found these two blandings this weekend. I've seen 2 in 4 years...They seem to be making a comeback in my area...northern Illinois. I'm glad i was able to catch these two for pictures. They really are awesome turtles.

This was the female. She had a radio transmitter on her carapace and was also gravid. The conservation efforts must be working.
