Odd Behavior

lilpurpletoes Nov 19, 2004 10:30 AM

I have a juvenile albino (2-3 months) who has been extremely lethargic the past couple of weeks. When I got her, part of her tail had been missing, but it's back now, although rather thin. She eats regularly but doesn't seem to gain any weight. I would love any feedback you guys have. I just don't know what to do for my poor baby.

Ah, forgot the odd behavior part. Since this has been happening, she also sleeps in "high" places (the top of her cave, a stick, even propped against her water bowl). Not sure the significance of this, but it still worries me.

the behavor is fine, mine picks weird places to sleep for about a week then changes it

However what should worry you is the weight loss. And the only way to be sure of whats happening would be to get a fecal done.

If you have trouble finding a vet let people know, they're inexpensive

I agree, a gecko that eats a lot but doesn't gain much weight sounds like it could be a parasite. A fecal would be good idea. If you do need to find a vet, check out the end of the my case sheet... I have like 4 or 5 sites listed to find one.
