First time breeding

ridyard333 Jun 30, 2003 10:56 PM

hi i have been always intrested in owning dart frogs and have been reading through this forum for about a year or too.
my major question is a bedinner species like D. Auturas really easy to breed. i have always heard this and was wondering about how truly easy it is. I mean if you have a proper tank with right temperature and humidity would it be that easy?
thanx
alex

In my opinion, I wouldn't call breeding any dart frog easy, at least at first. For a beginner breeding project, however, I would recommend Leucomelas. Keeping them in groups will also help stimulate competition and increase your chances of offspring. Hope this helps

Yes, mine started at a year old and have been producing a clutch every 8-10 days
