Trying to breed. Question

billcherep Nov 19, 2004 03:19 PM

I have my two in a 55 gallon breeder. I have two hide boxes as I was told to. They have been in there for one week. When should I expect them to start. The temp is at 75 on coolside and 89 on warm. They are always in hide box together and I really can't tell without picking up the hide And I know that can't be good to interupt. I know I wouldn't want that! I haven't seen them locked up but how the hell am I supposed to tell? I want to check every five minutes. Very anxious. First timer are funny aren't we.

If they dont, pull one out. Have cooled them long enough and they are both up to weight? Try putting another male with yours and they will spare for abit, then add the female back in, sometimes they like a little competition. It acts like alcohol, suddenly the female looks awhole lot better....lol kidding ladies, (kinda)
