I just dont get the yellow belly. If anyone has the time, could you please point out what Im supposed to be looking at. Maybe a side by side belly shot of a normal and YB. Ive seen some pics where I see a yellow belly, then Ive also seen regular looking (to me) bellies, labeled as YB. Thanks for your help.

As far as I know (and I'm pretty stupid myself) there is "proven" yellow belly, and there is "gosh, wouldn't it be nice if this $35 snake I picked up at a show turned out to be a Yellow BellY?"

The provens are hard to mistake. I forget which breeder had the photos, but the bellies are lined with tons of motley-colored scales -- blacks, browns, yellows, and whites -- all throws together as if every other scale is a different color. Crazy scrambled! Then you have the yellow-colored belly with black peppering scattered about. Very unmistakeable.

I've seen better photos, but this one kinda shows the motley-coloring around the edges of the belly.

Here is a picture of one of those 30.00 I sure hope this will prove out Yellow bellies I purchased at a show. LOL.
